It's a hard knock life in New York City. No one understands that better than orphan "Annie" or rather Quvenzhané Wallis, who plays the lovable character in the film's reboot. The first trailer released for the highly anticipated movie, which hits theaters on Christmas Day, shows Wallis singing and dancing as her bright personality embraces her young life's Don't be fooled: Cameron Diaz may play nice, but her Miss Hannigan is as cranky as ever. Cameron Diaz, who plays the infamously grumpy Miss Hannigan, even makes a reference to Facebook in the film. Jamie Foxx plays cold-hearted politician Benjamin Stacks who can't help but love Quvenzhané Wallis' Annie. Another glaring difference is the replacement of Daddy Warbucks with Benjamin Stacks, a wealthy politician played by Jamie Foxx, who initially needs Annie to boast his career but ends up becoming emotionally attached. The timeframe may have changed, but this 'Annie' reboot will have all the song and dance audiences expect. "Sometimes what you're looking for is right in front of your face," Foxx says in the film. But the undeniable standout is the 10-year-old nominated for an Oscar in 2012 for her role in "Beasts of the Southern Wild." You can bet your bottom dollar she'll deliver a stellar performance.
